Biography and career
Azamjon Ravshankhonovich Gaforov is a high-level flyweight from Tajikistan who represents the Akhmat and Evolution Team Bayonov camps. Under coaches Radzhabali Baenov and Mikhail Ragushin, he developed an uncompromising, hard-nosed fighting style rooted in wushu sanda and kickboxing. Gaforov is known for his phenomenal punching power, excellent pace, and iron endurance.
Azam is a former WFCA champion and one of the most consistent top contenders in the ACA flyweight division. After losing a title fight decision to Kurban Gadzhiev at ACA 180, Gaforov bounced back with a win over Mkhitar Barsegyan at ACA 192. He currently sits third in the divisional rankings and is preparing for a five-round main event against Aren Akopyan at ACA 203 in Tashkent on May 8, 2026.
